After breakfast, shop ‘til you drop, knowing that all unsold items will be donated to Samaritan’s Closet, ensuring nothing goes to waste. Every dollar raised helps us to keep hosting free, inclusive social events in Northern Michigan.

Want to donate? We’re accepting gently used items on Friday, April 25th, from 3 PM – 7 PM via our drive-through donation drop-off. Volunteers will be on-site to review items: please no large furniture, hazardous materials, or anything not legally resellable by a nonprofit.

We had such a great time at our first game event, so we’re bringing it back every month! Join Evergreen and the Unitarian Universalist Congregation for a night of multi-generational family fun. Be it cooperative or competitive, a funny word game, a classic board game, or something new to you entirely: everyone's bound to have a fun evening!

To make the night even better, we’re doing a potluck-style snack table. Feel free to bring treats or zero-proof beverages, but no worries if you can’t—there will be plenty to go around. Expect laughs, friendly competition, and a great way to meet new people.

Some moments are too good to experience alone—like watching the sun dip below the horizon, lighting up the sky. That’s why we’re gathering at Bayside Park, a great waterfront spot in Williamsburg, to enjoy it together.

Bring whatever makes you comfortable—a cozy blanket, a camping chair, or a cup of your favorite warm drink. Want to stretch your legs? Take a stroll along the shore. Prefer to sit back and relax? Just lean into the sound of the waves and the friendly conversations around you.

Take in the fresh air and scenic views on this leisurely group hike at River East Recreation Area, located off N Keystone Rd near the train tunnels. This trail offers a peaceful setting with a mix of wooded paths and river views, perfect for stretching your legs. Gabi will be leading us, with a possible distance of 1.5 miles. Boots or water durable shoes are a good idea, in case we run across mud.

After the hike, stick around to sip tea and relax before heading into the rest of your weekend! This is a casual, go-at-your-own-pace event—whether you're looking to get some steps in, connect with others, or simply enjoy the outdoors, you're welcome here. We are partnering with Up North Pride for this hike!

Evergreen Community Group is heading to Mi Smash Therapy, where you can shatter stress, demolish frustration, and have a blast in a rage room designed for cathartic release and pure fun. Evergreen invites you to Fondue & You!, a monthly gathering where we come together over warm, melty, and delicious fondue. This month’s theme is all about cheese and chocolate, with both classic and vegan alternatives. Dip, drizzle, and savor your way through a cozy evening.

All are welcome—just bring yourself and an appetite for something warm, gooey, and delicious. It’s so much better when we’re all together! Need ideas of what to bring? Evergreen is providing fondue, chocolate, chicken sausage, bread, broccoli, and strawberries. Here are some additional ideas:

We’re teaming up with the Unitarian Universalist Congregation to bring you a Multi-Generational Family Game Night, where there’s something for everyone. From classic board games to exciting party games and even life-sized Candy Land, this is the perfect chance to challenge your friends, make new ones, and have a blast.

But that’s not all! This game night also features a Creative Snack Competition—bring your most inventive snack creation to share! Think outside the box and impress the crowd with your sweet or savory masterpiece. Everyone gets to vote, and the winner will take home a treat-filled gift basket. Evergreen will also provide punch, cake, and chips to keep the energy high.

All ages are welcome, so bring your family, friends, and game face!

Evergreen and Up North Pride are teaming up in 2025 to bring you a monthly art night that’s all about creativity, community, and fun! Grab a pencil, paintbrush, or pair of scissors and dive into drawing, painting, and collaging—no experience needed. This is a space to experiment, get messy, and express yourself with no pressure to make a masterpiece.

Bring your go-to art supplies or use what’s on hand. We’ll have snacks and zero-proof drinks, and if you’d like, bring something tasty to share! Come for the art, stay for the people, and walk away with fresh ideas, a full heart, and maybe a new friend or two. 

Come along with us for a day of treasure hunting! No matter if you’re a seasoned thrifter or just love the thrill of the find, this event is for you. We’ll visit some of Traverse City’s best thrift spots, including Goodwill, the Goodwill Bins, Ebb Tide Resale, and the Women’s Resource Center Thrift Shop. 

Midway through, we’ll stop for lunch at J&S Hamburg on South Airport, then continue on to Salvation Army, Double Edge, and Plato’s Closet to finish out the day. Celebrate Irish Heritage and the upcoming St. Patrick's Day holiday with new friends and delicious food! We are attending the Center’s monthly community potluck, a welcoming meal where neighbors come together to connect over food.

We’ll meet at Greilickville Harbor Park and head over to Discovery Pier, with sunrise dialing in about 7:30 AM. Bundle up for early morning temperatures, safety first when walking, and get creative with your phone/camera. Afterward, we’ll gather at the covered pavilion to enjoy hot cocoa and donuts.

This Valentine’s season, we're spreading the love in the most delicious way possible—TACOS! Forget the romantic dinner reservations and the heart-shaped boxes of chocolates—let's celebrate friendship, laughter, and tacos at our Monthly Gathering.

Escape the hustle and bustle with Evergreen friends at our monthly outdoor exploration event. Walking in nature can boost your mood, reduce stress, improve mental clarity, and provide a refreshing break from daily routines. Gabi and Jack enjoy sharing and learning fun facts, hiking tips, and new trails.

The pathways behind the recreation area cross the isthmus (narrow strip of land) between Hidden Lake and the West Branch of Silver Lake. This provides snowy views of water at multiple points along the way. We’ll hang out afterwards at one of the covered pavilions for a hot drink.

Evergreen will be supporting NMCAA at their annual resource fair, Super Saturday! We need volunteers at our table to help with handing out info about Evergreen and getting new members signed up for the newsletter, anytime from 9 AM to 2 PM. Even an hour of your time makes a difference!
